Drug Arrest In Holmdel Stems From Suspicious Parked Vehicle: Police

HOLMDEL, NJ - A man sitting in a parked car on the side of the road in Holmdel was charged with drug possession, authorities said.

The bust took place Saturday after a Holmdel officer observed the suspect vehicle parked on the side of the road, “appearing to be disabled,” police said.

It was not immediately clear where the vehicle was parked.

Upon further inspection, 42-year-old Jesse Campbell was found lying in an awkward position in the back seat of the vehicle, police said. Though he was not able to provide a clear story to officers on scene, responders “observed signs of recent drug use.”

A further investigation led to Campbell’s arrest as a result of “multiple drug offenses,” police said.

He was later released from police custody.
