HOLMDEL-HAZLET, NJ— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Holmdel-Hazlet, meet Marc Ulmer.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Arieana, Chase, Cain, Cairo, and Creed who nominated Marc Ulmer of Holmdel-Hazlet.

What makes your dad extra special?

He works long and hard hours but never brings his work home with him, meeting all 5 of us with a smile no matter how hard the day was and works hard to be a parent that is emotionally supportive even if he doesn't understand what we are feeling. There is not a single night that he skips to tell all 5 of us he loves us. When he comes home, he does his best to make sure that our mom knows how important she is and how loved she is. He coaches our teams, makes all our graduations, school shows, and hospital visits. He is the best father our family could have.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Despite working hard literally to the point of blood, sweat and tears, he makes sure he is a part of all of our milestones. He gives us the support to follow our interests and to help encourage us to be the best version of ourselves.
