Holmdel Teen Selected For Rep. Pallone's Youth Advisory Board

HOLMDEL, NJ — A local Holmdel teen was chosen for a seat on Congressman Frank Pallone’s Youth Advisory Board.

The teen is Ethan Levine, who is a senior at South Amboy High School. He lives in Holmdel.

Rep. Pallone is a Democratic congressman who has represented New Jersey's Sixth Congressional district since 1998. "NJ 6" stretches from Carteret and Woodbridge into Edison, New Brunswick and down to Asbury Park. It hugs the Bayshore coastline, including towns such as Aberdeen, Matawan, South Amboy, Hazlet, Sea Bright and West Long Branch. Pallone is a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.

Pallone's Youth Advisory Board is made up of civic-minded high school students from his district. The teens meet quarterly to provide the congressman with insight into matters that affect them and their peers. They also get to learn about the role of Congress and raise awareness about the Youth Advisory Council and other events hosted by the congressman.

Levine will serve an eight-month term on the Youth Advisory Council that will end in August.

Levine had to apply for the position, and answer essay questions about what he hopes to learn by serving, as well as what community service he currently does. He volunteers by making meals for Ronald McDonald House monthly, and volunteers at the public library.
