Holmdel Township Police Department Launch Free Home Inspection Program

HOLMDEL, NJ — The Holmdel Township Police Department has launched a new Home Inspection Program designed to enhance the safety and security of residents’ homes, Holmdel Police Chief Frank Allocco announced Wednesday.

The program is a free service provided by Holmdel Police that's aimed at helping homeowners identify potential security vulnerabilities in their properties, according to officials.

“Our state certified officers will conduct a thorough inspection of your home,” Allocco said. “Offering practical advice and recommendations to improve your home’s security.”

  • Exterior Assessment: Evaluation of doors, windows, locks, lighting and landscaping to ensure they deter potential intruders.
  • Interior Review: Inspection of alarm systems, surveillance cameras and emergency exits to ensure they’re functioning properly.
  • Personal Safety Tips: Personalized advice on best practices for home safety, including emergency preparedness and neighborhood watch participation.

For residents interested in participating in the Home Inspection Program, you can email [email protected] and leave your name, address and call back number in the body of the email.

Appointments are available on weekdays and weekends, according to officials. Police ask residents to allow up to seven business days for a response.
