Former Nurse Now President Of Bayshore Hospital In Holmdel

Caitlin Miller of Fair Haven is also named chief hospital executive of Bayshore Medical Center; was VP of operations after nursing career.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Caitlin Miller, once a staff nurse, has now been appointed as president and chief hospital executive of Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, Hackensack Meridian Health announced Wednesday.

“Caitlin’s experience and rise, beginning as a staff nurse at Bayshore Medical Center and most recently as vice president of operations, will bring an extraordinary perspective in her new role as president and chief hospital executive,” said Robert C. Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.

Miller holds a Master's in Business Administration, as well as an MS, a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and Registered Nurse-Board Certified credentials, the health system said in a news release.

“Under her leadership, Bayshore Medical Center will undoubtedly enhance its reputation as a health care destination in New Jersey,” Garrett said.

"Bayshore Medical Center has been serving the community for more than 50 years and I look forward to building on the successes we have achieved," she said.

She said she is "incredibly humbled and honored to be named president and chief hospital executive of Bayshore Medical Center. During my tenure, I have been very fortunate to work alongside extraordinary team members and physicians who have worked tirelessly to make Bayshore one of America's 250 Best Hospitals."

During her time at Bayshore Medical Center, Miller, of Fair Haven, has played a "significant role in the improvements to growth, quality of care, reputation and patient experience, and team member engagement," the health system said.

She led the design and construction of the $48 million dollar, 32,000 square-foot, Dr. Robert H. Harris Emergency Care Center that opened last year, and the implementation of new outpatient programs and state-of-the-art technology upgrades to enhance patient care.

With this appointment, she will continue to be responsible for all aspects of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community services for the hospital, and will continue to build upon the expansion over the past few years, the health system said.
