JERSEY SHORE, NJ — If you're planning a holiday stroll around town during this weekend, Sunday might be the best day to do it.

There is a chance of showers of between 40 and 70 percent on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

On Sunday, however, it will be sunny and breezy, with high temperatures reaching 47 degrees.

There is a risk of marine hazards during the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, wind or wind gusts might be equal to or greater than 34 knots and waves might be eight feet or higher.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of showers after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Windy. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 47. Breezy.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38.
