HOLMDEL, NJ — There are several spots where road work will take place this week in Holmdel, resulting in partial road closures or changes in traffic patterns, according to police:

Holmdel Road

Due to utility work being done at the intersection of 520 and Holmdel Road, there will be an alternating traffic pattern (one lane of travel) approaching the intersection. The work is scheduled to take place through Thursday, Sept. 14. The traffic pattern will be in place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Businesses are open and motorists should be prepared to follow a detour, police said.

On Friday, Sept. 15, Holmdel Road between Roberts Road and 520 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., police said.

Road work in the area had been part of a New Jersey Natural Gas Co. gas regulator project that the state Board of Public Utilities is allowing to continue while the project is being contested in court by the township.

Centerville Road

Centerville Road is closed Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 for milling and paving. The road will be closed from Windhill Way to Lavender Road overnight.

Line Road

Due to road work, Line Road will be closed between Bethany Road and Imbrook Lane again on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. after a planned closure Monday.

In all cases, police say to follow posted detours and plan an alternate route, if possible.
