SNAP and TANF Recipients Can Jumpstart Their Future

Additional Life-Changing Resources Such As Job Placement and Training Available through the Monmouth County Division of Social Services

Occupational and trade training, job placement and career-building opportunities are just a few of the many life-changing services available to Monmouth County families and individuals receiving support services through Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

“SNAP and TANF recipients have a great opportunity to jumpstart their future with many helpful, free services,” said Susan M. Kiley, Commissioner Deputy Director, Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners. “Monmouth County is working hard to spread the word about these services and how easy it is to access them.”

To get started, SNAP and TANF recipients are encouraged to call the Monmouth County Division of Social Services at 732-431-6000 x6323. From there, a helpful and knowledgeable representative will assess the individual’s personal needs and connect them to appropriate support services which may include job training assistance, access to work clothes and transportation.
