Here is a list of some of the events you can check out in Monmouth County in the next few weeks:
Jan. 8 - Wanda Sykes at Count Basie

Emmy-winning comedian Wanda Sykes is performing at Count Basie Center for the Arts. The show is a phone-free event and all phones will be secured in special cases before entering the venue. Tickets start at $35.

Nightrain' Guns n’ Roses Tribute has traveled around tge country for years and on Jan. 8 they will be performing at The Voge. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show.
Jan. 19 - RENT: 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour
The Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical will be performed at Count Basie in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Tickets start at $20.
Jan . 31 - Taste of Long Branch
The event will be between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. and feature dishes from several Long Branch restaurants, including Charley's Ocean Grill and The Butcher's Block. Tickets are $60.
March 13 - Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Since 2013, the annual Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrates the area’s Irish heritage with a host of community activities that also raise awareness and funds for local non-profits.
March 13 - Freehold Borough Arts Council’s Freehold St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The parade will feature the Freehold Elks, The Ancient Order of Hibernians and many more organizations. The lineup is at noon and kick-off is at 1 p.m.
March 23 - Garden State Film Festival
Starting in 2002, the Garden State Film Festival is rooted in the celebration of the independent film genre and the creation of a forum where local and other independent filmmakers can exhibit their work.
