First NJ Documentary Film Festival Hosted In Sparta July 23-25

SPARTA, NJ - Over 40 documentaries, both feature and short films - some New Jersey homegrown and others from all over the world - will be screened in Sparta at the Sparta Avenue Stage for three days at 10 Sparta Avenue, this upcoming weekend from Friday, July 23 through Sunday, July 25, for the first New Jersey Documentary Film Festival.

Joshua Nelson, the festival director, says if the inaugural festival takes off, it’s planned to become a yearly happening.

The festival with the theme “Where Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction,” has documentary films being shown all weekend-long.
