Homelessness Prevention Helps People at Risk of Losing Their Homes

FPSC's HPP program can help individuals and families facing evictions or housing loss due to disaster or domestic violence.

Newton, NJ- Family Promise of Sussex County has been serving the community for the last twenty five years. We are dedicated employees who are here to assist you with your housing stabilization needs. The Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) aims to address the causes of homelessness and provide support to individuals and families at risk.

HPP offers financial assistance and resources to help people maintain stable housing. This program assists individuals and families who are at imminent danger of eviction due to temporary problems beyond their control with up to three months of rental arrears.

The Homelessness Prevention Program also helps individuals and families relocate when needed, such as after being evicted, being displaced due to a fire or natural disaster, or fleeing a domestic violence situation. HPP assists those individuals with a security deposit and first month’s rent to help stabilize their housing situation.
