​Veronica Devaney Galvan was 78.

HOPATCONG, NJ — Obituary provided by the Leber Lakeside Funeral Home:

Veronica Devaney Galvan of Hopatcong passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. She was 78.

Born in Ballynacargy County Westmeath, Ireland. Veronica lived in the Bronx section of New York before moving to Hopatcong for many years. Veronica was a huge animal lover and volunteered her time at the Hopatcong Animal Shelter.

Beloved wife of the late David Galvan in 2006. Loving sister of Ann Devaney Martin of Ireland, Bernadette O'Sullivan of England. She is also predeceased by her parents, seven brothers and 4 sisters. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate Veronica's Life Celebration of Mass on Wednesday, November 15 at 10:30am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. All are invited to meet directly at church for mass. Interment will follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Twp., NJ.
