Sussex County Public Health Nursing to Offer Free Presentation at Project Self-Sufficiency.

Community members are invited to discuss tick borne illnesses and learn prevention techniques at a meeting of the Project Sussex Kids General Council, Wednesday, June 21st, 11:00 a.m. The presentation will be given by Juliette Bannister, Sussex County Office of Public Health Nursing. Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and babesiosis are just three of the numerous illnesses caused by ticks which can be found in grassy, brushy, wooded area or on animals. Guest speakers will discuss symptoms, treatments, and prevention. Project Self-Sufficiency staff will also provide an update on Project Sussex Kids activities. The meeting is free and open to the public; advance registration is encouraged. Interested participants are invited to call Project Self-Sufficiency at 973-940-3500 to register.
