Pair of Veritas Christian Point Guards Earn Regional Honors
Evan Milanesi and Caitlin O'Malley are named to NCSAA Super Regional Teams.
The National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) released their basketball awards this week and Veritas Christian Academy saw their point guards from both the girls and boys team get recognized. In the Northeast Super Regional, sophomore point guard, Caitlin O’Malley, was recognized as an all star. O’Malley led the Veritas girls to a first place finish in both the regular season and league tournament while leading the team in scoring, assist, rebounds and steals..
On the boys side, junior point guard, Evan Milanesi, was also named to the NCSAA Northeast Super Regional all star team. Milanesi led his team in rebounds, assists, and was top 10 in the state for steals per game. The junior also scored his 1,00th point this season.
Both Milanesi and O’Malley were named MVP of their respective teams at the Veritas Christian Academy sports banquet last month, and will return to the starting lineups at Veritas again this fall as they will surely add more hardware to their impressive resumes.
