Family Promise of Sussex County supports individuals and families in obtaining and maintaining stable housing through various programs. The Rapid Rehousing Program is a government-funded program that provides financial resources to eligible households experiencing a housing crisis. This program provides rental assistance and case management services to qualifying households to meet their individual needs.

Participant households receive education in finances, budgeting, credit building, resume writing, employment searches and other life skills. Households are also provided with referrals to other agencies and resources in the community to meet their individual needs. The Rapid Rehousing program empowers clients to succeed and supplies them with the tools and guidance to become self-sufficient and sustain their housing long-term.
In Sussex County the housing crisis has been increasing, resulting in more individuals and families experiencing eviction and homelessness. The Rapid Rehousing program not only provides financial assistance for new housing opportunities, but case managers also advocate for individuals and families who may face limited housing opportunities due to a history of eviction or a low credit score.
