1st Place Championship Win For Sparta High School Marching Band

SPARTA, NJ — The members of Sparta High School’s marching band brought home a first place win from the Tournament of Bands Regional Championship.

The band competed on Oct. 24 at West Essex High School in North Caldwell for Region 10.

They are now headed on Sunday to the Atlantic Coast Championships to compete with other bands in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the schedule here and more information about the next championship round here.

During the championship among the five Group 2-A bands competing, Sparta placed first as follows, according to the Tournament of Bands:

Group 2 - A
1. 92.24 - Sparta
2. 87.31 - West Morris Central
3. 85.93 - Columbia
4. 81.76 - North Bergen
5. 81.61 - Montville Twp
