HOPATCONG, NJ— Trout will be back at the state's largest lake this Sunday.
The Knee Deep Club will stock Lake Hopatcong with 1,000 trout to start the season. The stocking is open to the public, including helping to get the fish into the water.
Trout season officially begins on Saturday, April 8 when any trout caught can be taken home. Anything caught before then must be released back into the lake.
