Buy “Scoops That Save” To Benefit OSCAR
Windy Brow Farms on 359 Ridge Road in Fredon is previewing its “Orange Creamsicle” flavor on Sunday, with the One Step Closer Animal Rescue Adoption event at the same time from 1 to 4 p.m. Every Orange Creamsicle scoop sold in August will benefit OSCAR. Find out more here.

Watch A Miners Baseball Game And Fireworks Display
Saturday’s theme at Skylands Stadium is “Halloween Night,” with a costume contest, Jack-o’ lantern ticket giveaway, free shirts, free candy and more. The gates open at 4:35 p.m., with the first pitch at the stadium at 94 Championship Place in Augusta at 6:05 p.m. After the sun goes down, watch the post-game fireworks. Other fun: if the Miners’ secret pick from the opposing side strikes out, each fan will get a free McDonald’s fry coupon. Grab tickets here.

Enjoy A Concert To Benefit Sussex County’s Food Bank
R.E.N.O. and friends are putting on a show on Saturday at the Carriage House on Culver Lake at 470 Route 206 in Branchville, from 3 to 10 p.m. There’s a $5 donation asked per person, 50/50 and more. See all performers and more details here.

Shop At A Farmer's Market
Sussex County has several community farmers' markets countywide, some making weekly and others twice-monthly appearances every month, with local produce, meats, dairy, honey and other items.
The Sussex County Farmers Market is open at the Fairgrounds, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The indoor market, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, runs every Saturday through October, with local seasonal produce, eggs, meats, dairy, wine and other Jersey Grown and Jersey Fresh offerings.
The Sparta Farmers Market is also on every Saturday at 89 Sparta Avenue, boasting more than 20 local growers, makers, bakers and farmers, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fresh local produce, handmade cheeses, breads, pasture-raised meats, eggs and more are in the market's lineup.
The Hopatcong Marketplace is another Saturday local market option this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, located in the Walgreens Shopping Center parking lot at 47 Hopatchung Road. There are actually two chances to shop, with the “First Sunday” event from noon to 4 p.m. Click here for this weekend’s full lineup.

Cruise Over To A Car Show
Weather-permitting, Sussex County has two car shows happening on Saturday. Weather-permitting, the Godfather Gang Summer Cruise-In takes place each Saturday outside of Friendly's in the Hampton Plaza parking lot on Route 206 in Newton, beginning at 2 p.m. and running until sunset. Jumboland Saturday Cruise-In is also each Saturday at the Jumboland Diner at 438 Route 206 in Branchville, from 3 p.m. until close with the Sussex County Wanderers Car Club. Each Saturday the car show is on, there's DJ Doc South and a show trophy for autos in the show. Jumboland also has picnic tables and an open air pavilion.
