Vendors Wanted For Hopatcong Marketplace

HOPATCONG, NJ — Vendors can sell items while raising funds for a meaningful, local cause this summer, through the Hopatcong Marketplace.

The Marketplace will be held on Saturdays in the Hopatchung Park & Ride Lot, located at 47 Hopatchung Rd., beginning on Saturday June 5; and will wind down on Saturday, Nov. 27, with a total of 25 separate shopping days.

Though the marketplace kicks off for the season on June 5, the first Saturday is fully booked with vendors, according to the Borough of Hopatcong website, with the first available Saturday market date for new vendors on Saturday, June 12.

There are also Sunday markets that start on the first Sunday of each month, beginning in July and concluding in November.

On Saturday Dec. 4, Hopatcong’s second annual Market in the Park is scheduled, in time for the holiday season.

Table proceeds benefit the Hopatcong Community Resource and Wellness Center, with a “pay as you go rate,” at $25 per date, for a 10’ X 10’ space. There is a “tiered discount” for those who book multiple dates.

Sellers of farm-fresh produce, direct sellers, artisans, local crafters and those selling secondhand and vintage items, are welcome to participate as vendors.

Food vendors that would like to participate and must comply with proper permitting with the Sussex County Department of Health and Hopatcong Fire Department.
