Veritas Christian Academy Junior, Evan Milanesi, Scores 1,000th Point

The Metro League all-star and 3-year starter becomes the latest player in school history to break this point milestone.

Evan Milanesi scored his 1,000th point on Thursday in a game against Abundant Life Academy. The junior point guard who has led the team in scoring this season and last season has also been a three-year starter during his time at Veritas Christian Academy. Milanesi’s 1,000th point fittingly came at the free throw line where even as a freshman, he has been the team’s best shooter at the charity stripe.

Milanesi is the first 1,000 point scorer for the Veritas boys’ varsity since Ethan Mulder achieved it in 2020, and the third in his own family to do so as his older siblings, Chloe and Charlotte, broke the 1,000 point mark during their careers at Veritas as well.

In addition to his scoring, Evan Milanesi also leads the team in rebounds, assists and steals as the multi-dimensional point guard truly is the floor general for the Veritas boy’s team who currently boasts a 14-6 record. In a school that has fewer than 60 students, the Veritas basketball teams have always been competitive, finishing as runner-up in their division at the NCSAA National Tournament last season. This year the boys’ varsity team has defeated schools 10x its size with notable wins over Parsippany High School and High Point.
