Watch: Snowmaking Comes To NJ’s Mountain Creek Resort

VERNON, NJ — As the chill hits the air and many people are counting down to hit the slopes, Mountain Creek has kicked it into high-gear with their snowmaking efforts.

Mountain Creek’s opening day is right around the corner for skiers and snowboarders, with snowmakers and groomers “working around-the-clock to take advantage of the ideal weather conditions,” for the season, a Mountain Creek spokesperson detailed in a news release.

They don’t have their opening date set yet, but Mountain Creek is working on it, they report, with this one of the first steps of the process for a spectacular season.

There’s more than 167 acres of winter trails to ready for the season at Mountain Creek Resort, with trails across “four connected mountain peaks, offering snow sports enthusiasts 100 percent night skiing coverage and the region’s highest vertical drop.”

As for the exact opening day coming up in December, they said, “When we know, you’ll know.”

“The operations team is excited for the season to come and looks forward to many snow days with guests this season,” they wrote.
