Yankees, Mets Playoff Heroes Signing Autographs Locally Sunday

Autographs, photos available in Independence Township.

Mets fans can still remember watching Arizona Diamondbacks centerfielder Steve Finley come down from the outfield wall with an empty glove, as backup catcher and pinch-hitter Todd Pratt sent the Amazin’s to the National League Championship Series in 1999.

Yankees fans will remember Jim Leyritz with heroics of his own, slamming game-changing homers in the 1996 and 1999 World Series, the latter of which was the last round-tripper of the 20th century.

Those moments for New York sports fans are etched in time and memories, and now fans will have the opportunity to meet both the players in northern New Jersey.
