New Officer, Promotions In Howell

Howell announced some staff updates for the township Police Department.

HOWELL, NJ — December saw a new officer added to the Howell Township Police Department, and the promotions of two other officers.

Howell Special II Officer Chandler Reed (pictured below) graduated from the Monmouth County Police Academy.

Chandler did an outstanding job and was the Class Leader and Merit Award winner, said Police Chief John Storrow in a social media post Dec. 14.

"We are looking forward to a safe, productive career for Chandler," he said.

Meanwhile, the department congratulated two officers promoted earlier in December to sergeant.

Matt Lawler and Vin Campagnola were promoted to the rank of sergeant on Dec. 1.

Lawler and Campagnola will be in training for a few weeks for their new positions and then will be assigned to the patrol division, the department said.
