Ballet CNJ to Hold Sugarplum Social Before Nutcracker Performance

The social will feature a Nutcracker story time that explains the story of the holiday classic.

The School of Ballet Central New Jersey will premiere its first winter performance along with free events for children of all ages on Dec. 7.

BalletCNJ will hold its inaugural Sugarplum Social event prior to the premier of its Nutcracker performance.

The Sugarplum Social will run fun activities to introduce children to the art of live performance and dance. Nutcracker story time will explain the tale of this timeless holiday classic prior to the performance. Children will be able to color their favorite Nutcracker character pictures for souvenir.

After the performance, children will get a chance to meet the Sugarplum Fairy and other characters, who will all be available for autographs and pictures.

BalletCNJ is excited to offer the Sugarplum Social as an outreach program offered to the community for free. It is part of its mission to spread the joy of dance and introduce children of all ages to the many great benefits of dance, classical music, and the performing arts.
