A great day for a great cause

150 golfers hit the links on Monday, July 16that the Manasquan River Golf Club to raise a record setting $90,000 for the non- profit organization, Holiday Express. Saker ShopRites presented the event for the second year in a row. Established in 1993 by Little Silver resident Tim McLoone, Holiday Express, headquartered in Tinton Falls, delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Golfers were also provided many tasty treats and beverages along the course to help them keep up their energy!

This year Holiday Express in its 26th year, will be visiting 100 locations. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will improve the quality of life for the 27,000 adults and children being served by Holiday Express during the 2018 holiday season. Holiday Express visits the mentally and physically disabled, the isolated, individuals in addiction and recovery programs, the poor and the homeless and children with serious illnesses.
