Essex County Calls For Volunteers At Coronavirus Vaccine Clinics

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County officials are calling on the public to help out at its five coronavirus vaccination centers.

In a news release, the county said volunteers are needed to help with administrative tasks and inoculations at its centers, which will be open from Monday through Saturday for the upcoming three to six months.

The county said the centers, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., aim to vaccinate about 1,000 people each day.

Volunteers who sign up to help at the vaccination clinics will each be given personal protective equipment and a vaccination against the COVID-19 virus, according to the release.

The county plans to open vaccination centers in Newark, West Orange, West Caldwell and Livingston. Learn more about the county's mass vaccination effort here.
