Essex County Sculpture Park Unveils New Artwork for 2015

The Wildflower Sculpture Park at South Mountain Reservation includes new pieces from four local artists.

Art is often just outside of your doorstep.

On Friday, June 5, the South Mountain Conservancy unveiled new outdoor sculptures in the Wildflower Sculpture Park in Essex County South Mountain Reservation.

Inaugurated in 2012, the Wildflower Sculpture Park is a collaborative initiative by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and the South Mountain Conservancy to introduce art into the landscape of the Reservation.

The four new artists included Willie Cole, Ben Pranger, Donna Conklin King and Lester James Johnson.
