LIVINGSTON, NJ — An embattled former major leaguer and self-proclaimed “man of the people” has moved to Livingston… at least for now, a report says.

After frustrating some of his neighbors on a quiet cul-de-sac in Linden for years, Lenny Dykstra – the former Mets and Phillies star outfielder – has moved to Essex County, where he is staying in a house owned by a friend, NJ.com reported Monday.

The exact location of his new digs in Livingston wasn’t released. (Read the full article)

Dykstra sold his Linden property for $439,000, after taking a house damaged in Hurricane Sandy and making it “shine,” he told NJ.com.

Dykstra called himself a “giver… a helper… a man of the people.”

“I made the house a great home,” Dykstra told the publication. “Those Stockton-ites can go [expletive] themselves. They complained they heard my chicks screaming during sex. Now they don’t have to hear it anymore.”

Some of his neighbors won’t miss him. The police have been to the infamously hard-partying former athlete’s home on reports of fights and vandalism. He’s also been accused by officials in the city of Linden of illegally renting rooms at his house.

Dykstra likely added some gas to the fire with multiple arrests in recent years. He's been sentenced to jail on theft charges and he's also had issues with drugs. He was also recently cleared of charges that he threatened to kill an Uber driver.
