In Livingston: How To Report Potholes, Storm Drain Issues, More

Here's how to report a range of issues in Livingston, including potholes, environmental concerns, field maintenance requests and more.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Township of Livingston. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

Livingston residents can quickly and easily report potholes, property maintenance issues, drainage concerns, environmental issues, field and park maintenance, storm drain maintenance concerns, and more through GovAlert.

Whether using the town website or the GovAlert mobile app, a series of drop-down options make the process quick and easy, and users will receive an email confirmation that their request was received. The system sends out follow-up emails when the issue is addressed, maintains a complete list of reports, and provides an easy way to track progress.

On the website

Residents can visit the Township website home page at livingstonnj.org and click the GovAlert Report a Concern icon located in the white bar located just below the photo.

There is also a Report a Concern link located at the bottom right of every website page under “Site Links”. The Report a Concern module is also accessible by typing “Report a Concern” into the website search bar or by typing livingstonnj.org/ReportAConcern.

Using the GovAlert App

Navigate to Google Play or the Apple Store to download the GovAlert App. Once downloaded, a user can report a concern at their current location or search for a different address.

After selecting "Report a Concern", the user can either scroll down the list of request types or begin typing in the search bar. Once the type of request has been selected, the user will be able to add photos and additional information, including an email address.

After tapping "Submit", the user will see a screen that says "Thank you! Your submission has been received!". This screen also provides a reference number and confirms that an email confirmation was sent to the email address provided.
