LONG BRANCH, NJ – Nestled just off Broadway in Long Branch, 10PRL is a production company and mixed media studio space that looks to be an epicenter for artists of all types on the Jersey shore.

10PRL, pronounced 10 Pearl for its address on 10 Pearl Street, offers 6,500 square feet, including a 5,000 square foot event space that includes a cyclorama wall and light grid as well as a 1,200 square-foot dance studio with a dressing room and lounge.

According to April Centrone, Founder, and CEO of 10PRL, the goal of 10PRL was to be a space that brings together artists of all backgrounds without having to travel to New York City.

“I really wanted to have a space where people can express themselves as creatives as much as wanted to,” Centrone said.

“This area is rich in art, but it could use more of a central hub the way New York City has so many hubs. I feel like it's so important to have a focused space for free art, not just bars that feature art.”

While many artists and other creatives struggled during the pandemic, 10PRL managed to be part of some big projects, most notably the recent filming of a TV pilot that was shot in both Long Branch and Bradley Beach, with the goal of “wanting to see some more Jersey Shore-based filmmaking.”

“As a production company, we can also work on these projects that bring big projects to the area,” Centrone said.

With 10PRL being both a woman- and LGBT-owned business, Centrone feels that it is important for all artists to feel comfortable when they are creating, with the idea of “safety, joy, creation, and community.”

“Our goal or vision is to be the community art space that people of all walks of life feel safe and joyful inside and safe to express themselves in any way that moves them,” Centrone said.
