LONG BRANCH-EATONTOWN, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Denise Simonelli who nominated Chantel Simonelli of Long Branch-Eatontown.

What makes this mom extra special?

The mom I’m nominating is my sister-in-law Chantel Simonelli. She goes above and beyond for my family. An assistant principal in a middle school in Holmdel, she is always beside her school families, just as she always has time for our family.

She’s been with us for more than 30 years. I can’t begin to tell you how unselfish this woman is.
When Superstorm Sandy hit, she put a truckload together and delivered it in Monmouth Beach.

She goes above and beyond for others. She is loving, kind and carin, and never wants things for herself. It’s always others There are so many things I would love for you to know about her but for now, it’s like this: “I love you, Chantel. Thanks for all you do for our family.”

Why do you feel she deserves the spotlight?

Because she’s always shining for others

Happy Mother's Day to Chantel Simonelli, and thank you for all you do!
