OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Unanticipated construction delays on Route 9 have prompted commuting delays on Friday morning, authorities said.

As of 6:21 a.m., there’s an unanticipated construction delay on Route 9 in both directions between north of Seneca Boulevard and south of Bay Parkway in Ocean Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes alternating traffic in both directions, the agency said.
