Deal, Rumson Named In Top 10 Of NJ's Most Expensive ZIP Codes

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Deal, Avon By The Sea, Sea Girt and Rumson were all in the top 10 of New Jersey's most expensive ZIP codes, according to PropertyShark real estate blog.

In all 10 towns on the list, the median home prices in town were north of $1.1 million. That means the middle number of home prices in these towns is above $1.1 million.

To determine the most expensive ZIP codes, the analysis assessed real estate transactions that closed between Jan. 1, 2020, and Oct. 15, 2020. Property Shark does real estate analysis and data.

Alpine in Bergen County (07620) topped the list with the state's most expensive ZIP code. In Apline, the median home for sale price was $1.45 million in 2020. Alpine also ranked at No. 100 on PropertyShark's list of the top 100 priciest ZIP codes in the United States. They said Atherton, California is the country's most expensive ZIP code, for the fourth consecutive year.

Also on the list were Avalon and Stone Harbor in Cape May County, but Monmouth County had the most number of towns on the list: Deal, Avon By The Sea, Sea Girt and Rumson.
