Eatontown, Long Branch Men Had Over A Pound Of Marijuana In Car: PD

The local men, both 27, were pulled over in a car stop in Holmdel Friday night. Police say they had a large amount of pot with them.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Men from Eatontown and Long Branch were found with more than a pound and a half of marijuana during a traffic stop in Holmdel this past weekend, according to Holmdel Police.

Police stopped the car on Laurel Avenue in Holmdel at 12:32 a.m. Saturday. The driver, Ezra Wheeler, 27, of Eatontown, was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was arrested at the scene.

The passenger, Zhahiem Spann, 27, of Long Branch, was charged with possession of over a pound and a half of marijuana, enough of the drug that he intended to sell it, police said.

Wheeler was also charged with multiple motor vehicle offenses.

Both men have court dates pending in Holmdel municipal court.
