How Many Inches Of Snow Did Long Branch Get?

LONG BRANCH, NJ — There were no car accidents or any snow-related incidents to report in Long Branch due to the storm, a city spokeswoman confirmed.

Monmouth County also said there were no snow-related issues either, countywide. However, to the outrage of parents, Monmouth County closed its two most popular sled parks, the sled hill at Holmdel Park and Wolf Hill park's sled hill in Oceanport, due to COVID concerns. There was minor to moderate flooding in coastal areas particularly Manasquan, Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach. The Monmouth County 911 Communications Center had an increase in call volume by about 120 calls during the storm.

Eatontown got four inches of snow; Hazlet had seven inches of snow at 6:30 Thursday morning, Middletown and Leonardo had four inches and Freehold and Colts Neck had 7.2 inches. Weather officials had warned western Monmouth would see the most snow.

Ocean County mostly got rain. The nor'easter appeared to bring the most snow to Northern New Jersey. Newark Airport had 11 inches at 7 a.m. Thursday morning, and Sussex County had over a foot.

There were some scattered power outages Wednesday night, but nothing major. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until Sunday, so use caution as roads will be icy.

NJ Transit shut down all service Wednesday night, but resumed bus and train service at 11 a.m. Thursday. Enjoy the snow!
