LONG BRANCH, NJ — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Long Branch-Eatontown for 2023.

Long Branch Oceanfest: July 4. Billed as New Jersey’s largest Independence Day celebration, 1 p.m. – 10 p.m. July 4 at the Ocean Place Conference Center in Long Branch. The festival features live music, entertainment and shows, food, craft and retail vendors, and a fireworks show over the ocean at 9 p.m. http://www.oceanfestnj.com/

Hazlet’s fireworks will be held on July 2 at Veterans Memorial Park. Rain date is July 3.

Aberdeen: Aberdeen's Independence Day celebration will be Saturday, July 1 this year. As it is every year, the celebration will go from 5-9 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on the Raritan Bay. The rain date is July 8.

Aberdeen Twp. says 2023 will be their biggest year yet: Live music will be provided by local band Str8 UP, who will play from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The Veterans Park spray park will be open and the good times will be rolling. There will be: Bounce houses, Marvel superheroes, a DJ before and after the live band and three face painters. The beautiful Veterans Memorial Park spray park will be open until 8 p.m. for the little and big ones. The fireworks will go off at 9 p.m. when it gets dark. However, NO dogs are allowed.

Food trucks booked for that day: Cousins Maine Lobsters, Big John’s Gourmet Burgers, Debbie O’s Concessions, Aloha Tropical Bowls, Sweet Pepper Empanadas Express, Firehouse Dogs, Pie Oh My Wood Fired Pizza and Mr. Softee ice cream truck.

2nd and 4th Avenue Beaches
(Rain date: Friday, July 7th)
The beach will be cleared by 6pm in order to prepare for the fireworks display.
