LONG BRANCH, NJ — A Long Branch filmmaker's movie will hit the big screen. 'Tofino is a Place,' directed by Ryan Struck, will screen at the Garden State Film Festival.

In the film, the women's surf community in Tofino "is as unique as British Columbia is remote." The annual, all-women's surf contest Queen of the Peak is a testament of the grit and determination of those who live there.

The film will play from 5-7:30 p.m. March 28 in The Asbury Hotel (210 5th Ave., Asbury Park).
