Long Branch Theater To Show Dark, Adult Fairy Tale Play

Wolf at the Door, a play by Marisela Trevino Orta, will open at the New Jersey Repertory Company on October 18.

LONG BRANCH, NJ - For adults looking at a night out that includes dark themes in a play, make sure to check out the New Jersey Repertory. "Wolf at the Door," a play by Marisela Trevino Orta, will be premiering on October 18 and running through November 18, according to the New Jersey Repertory.

Orta, a Mexican-American, wrote the play as the second part of her series of plays concerning dark takes on Latin fantasy stories, according the NJ.com.

"Wolf at the Door" features a mix of the mythological and real, with a story concerning spousal abuse and the concept of dogs acting as carriers of souls, according to NJ.com. The play is a part of the National New Play Network, which highlights new and original plays from across the country.

Tickets are $50, with opening night and reception tickets being $60 and can be bought on the New Jersey Repertory website.
