Man Fatally Shot Outside Long Branch Nightclub

LONG BRANCH, NJ — A man was shot and killed Saturday night outside a bar/nightclub in Long Branch, said a spokesman for Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.

The prosecutor did not name which nightclub, but said the shooting happened on Brighton Avenue between Ocean Boulevard and 2nd Avenue.

Elijah Buffaloe, 31, a Long Branch resident, was shot in the street at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He was shot in the street, not inside the nightclub he had been patronizing.

He was taken to a hospital, but died Tuesday morning from the gunshot wounds, said the prosecutor's spokesman. No arrests have been made.
