MONMOUTH COUNTY – The Monmouth County SPCA had partnered with Mazza Recycling to open the first local cat colony at their Tinton Falls facility.

The 55-acre facility houses a cat shed, food, water and bedding that provides a safe haven for dozens of feral cats that currently live on site.

The partnership began at the start of the summer through a Trap-Neuter-Return program where feral cats are trapped, spayed or neutered and returned to the community to live in managed colonies. Kittens and friendly stray cats are then put up for adoption through the MCSPCA.
