Miguel Samol Of Long Branch Dies at 86

Services for retired baker will be held on Thursday and Friday.

Miguel Samol, of Long Branch, died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was 86.

Miguel was a baker at Baldanza Bakery in Long Branch for many years retiring in 1996. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, he has lived in Long Branch for 57 years. He was a parishioner of Star of the Sea Church of Christ the King Parish, Long Branch.

Miguel was predeceased by his wife, Nilsa Samol in 1996. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-aw, Nilsa Samol, Dely and Miguel Ferrer and Nancy Clarke; two sisters, Elsie Arriaga and Cruzita Rodrigues; four grandchildren, two great granddaughters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch.
