Monmouth Park Racetrack To Host 47th Annual Irish Festival On Sunday

Irish step dancing, music, food and more. The event starts with an Irish Mass at 11 a.m.

Come and get your Irish on at Monmouth Park Racetrack's 47th annual Irish Festival coming up on Sunday.

Start the day with a traditional Irish mass at 11 a.m. in the first floor of the Grandstand. The event will feature Irish step dancing, crafters, food, a pipe and drum competition, and two human horse races. Yes, you read that right. Human horse races.

Music from the Emerald Isle and authentic Irish step dancing will be performed at three different stages all afternoon long.

Grandstand admission is $5. General parking is $5. Children 12 and under are always free. No pets are allowed.

The gates open at 10 a.m. The first race starts at 12:50 p.m. So wear green and dust off your finest Irish brogue.
