More Info. On Eatontown's New Nicodemus Park

EATONTOWN, NJ — Here's more info. about the brand-new park and splash pad coming to Eatontown this summer:

The splash pad will be located in an entirely new park Eatontown is building, Nicodemus Park.

Eatontown is building the park on land it purchased from Fort Monmouth. Nicodemus Park will be 4.6 acres and it will be located on Nicodemus Avenue, according to Monmouth County.

Eatontown paid $153,130 for the land, the Asbury Park Press reported this week.

It remains unknown when construction will begin, but it will be sometime in 2022. The first thing the borough of Eatontown has to do is tear down and clear several old Army barracks that currently sit on that parcel of land.

In January, Eatontown received a $48,000 grant from Monmouth County to build the splash pad.

This winter, many nearby towns received grants from the county to build parks: Oceanport is building new pickleball courts and a community garden. Three new pickleball courts are coming to Camp Evans in Wall.
