LONG BRANCH, NJ — A classic Jersey Shore activity is making waves in Long Branch. The Pier Village carousel, which opened earlier this month, will hold a grand opening from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Pier Village Boardwalk Promenade.

You can grab a seat on brightly colored creatures such as seahorses, dolphins and regular horses. The plan is to keep the carousel open all year long, according to the Asbury Park Press. A retractable glass encasement will close it off during the winter.

One City-owned ride costs $4, while three tickets are $10. There will be a 50 percent discount for Long Branch school students with a valid school ID, the Asbury Park Press reports.
