Ocean Twp. Man, 68, Identified As Pedestrian Hit And Killed

The man who was hit by a car and killed Tuesday evening in Ocean Township has now been identified as Yefim Rotsenmar, 68.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — The 68-year-old man who was hit by a car and killed Tuesday evening in Ocean Township has now been identified:

The man is Yefim Rotsenmar, 68, of Ocean Twp.

He was struck at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday on West Park Avenue: Police say he was trying to walk across West Park Avenue when he was struck by a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, headed west, said Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.

The driver, a 53-year-old man, was entering the center lane of traffic when the crash took place. He remained at the scene and as of Friday, no charges have been filed in Rotsenmar's death.

Rotsenmar was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he died later that evening.
