Monmouth Mall Now Home To RWJBarnabas' Children's Hospital Satellite

RWJBarnabas is continuing its Monmouth County expansion with the opening of a satellite branch of Children's Specialized at Monmouth Mall:

EATONTOWN, NJ — RWJBarnabas is continuing its expansion into Monmouth County (a healthcare market currently dominated by Hackensack Meridian Health), with the opening this August of a satellite branch of Children’s Specialized at Monmouth Mall in Eatontown.

As Patch previously reported, Children's Specialized now occupies a floor of the newly opened Anne Vogel Family Care and Wellness Center at the mall (200 Wyckoff Road in Eatontown).

This is the brand-new four-story RWJBarnabas medical building that just opened up next to the Boscov's department store at the mall. The medical office is connected to Monmouth Medical Center, the award-winning hospital in Long Branch owned by RWJBarnabas Health.

The Anne Vogel Family Care Center offers women’s health services, pediatric specialty services (from Children's Specialized), wellness education and nutrition resources, specialty surgical services, a blood drawing station and an Urgent Care Center.

The medical office also has a test kitchen to promote healthy eating and will feature recipes from the Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi Nutrition Education Programs.

The Anne Vogel Family Care Center officially opened July 18. It was partially funded through donations from Sheldon Vogel, the Colts Neck resident and former chief financial officer for Atlantic Records, who named the center after his beloved late wife.

Children’s Specialized Hospital is part of RWJBarnabas Health; it is the children's hospital on the RWJ main campus in New Brunswick. This is the first Children's Specialized outpost in Monmouth County.

“At Children's Specialized, we recognize the rising incidence of special healthcare needs in children. This facility will provide children and families in the region a supportive environment to receive expert, family-centered care,” said Dr. Matthew McDonald, MD, president and CEO of Children’s Specialized Hospital.

The office will also offer speech & language pathology for children, therapy and developmental and behavioral pediatrics. They will also start offering adult and children's physical therapy services this fall.

Also this summer, recently retired MLB All-Star and Toms River resident Todd Frazier and his wife Jackie have signed on as honorary co-chairs of RWJ Barnabas' $45 million fundraising campaign.
