Seabrook Presents The Accordion Pops Orchestra

Group plays light classical, Broadway, big band and popular music.

Seabrook will present the Accordion Pops Orchestra on May 1 at 2 p.m. in Town Square Auditorium. The show is open to the public, and seating is first-come, first-served. Tickets are available at the door the day of the performance for $5 (check only). Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community, is located at 3000 Essex Road in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Come and enjoy this very unusual group playing light classical, Broadway, big band and popular music.

Accordion Pops Orchestra can trace their roots back to 1970 when it was organized by the Accordion Teachers’ Association of New Jersey. Over time, it has changed conductors and names to what it is today. Its members are from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, and, of course, New Jersey. It is the largest professional accordion orchestra of its kind on the East Coast, consisting entirely of accordions plus percussion instruments, played by 25 plus members who are mostly professional musicians or teachers.
