Seabrook Watercolor Group Creates 2016 Calendar

Residents from the Watercolor Class at Seabrook created a 2016 calendar.

Residents from the Watercolor Class at Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, created a 2016 calendar featuring beautiful watercolor paintings of stunning landscapes, charming still lives, and outdoor scenes of children playing in the snow. All proceeds from the sales of the calendar will benefit the Benevolent Care Fund at Seabrook.

“This is a wonderful way to showcase our work and give back to our community,” said Janice Pedersen, a member of the watercolor group.

Each week the residents meet on campus and paint under the instruction of artist Cindy Allen.

The Benevolent Care Fund provides support to residents who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. The money donated to the fund allow for residents experiencing financial adversity to continue living at Seabrook, in their home, among their friends, receiving the care that they need.

The colorful calendar is available for sale for $12 at Seabrook’s Village Center Activity Room on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to Noon. For more information, contact Petra Shaw at 732-481-6081.
