EATONTOWN, NJ – A second Wawa is opening up in Eatontown on Thursday, with a grand opening scheduled for 9 a.m., including a ribbon-cutting ceremony with officials from both Eatontown and Wawa in attendance.

There will also be a t-shirt giveaway for the first 100 customers who arrive when the store opens at 8 a.m. In addition, the Eatontown Police Department, Fire Department, and First Aid, along with the Monmouth Regional High School athletic department, will compete in Wawa's signature "Hoagies for Heroes" hoagie building competition with a $1,000 donation to each competitor.

"As new stores open throughout the year, we will continue to bring not just a new Wawa to the community but a commitment to community partnerships, new jobs, and growth. We look forward to meeting all our new friends and neighbors in the Eatontown community," Chris Gheysens, Wawa's President & CEO, said in a statement.

The store and gas station, located on the corner of Wyckoff Road and Route 35, is the second Wawa on Route 35 in Eatontown, the other located northbound across from the QuickCheck that is found on the former site of Houlihan's.

Like its sister store, this new Wawa, which replaced a Lube It All service station, will be located right near a QuickCheck, which is closer to the intersection of Routes 35 and 36.
