Shots Fired In West Long Branch Tuesday Evening

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — Someone fired a gun multiple times Tuesday evening in West Long Branch, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor confirmed, who said detectives are currently investigating.

The shots fired occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Wall Street and Oakwood Avenue.

Locals who live in the area say it happened at a convenience store on Wall Street, and some residents reported hearing the gunshots.

Nobody appears to have been injured or hit by the bullets, said the prosecutor's spokesman. Anyone with information is being asked to contact MCPO Detective Joshua Rios at 800-533-7443.
